Rhytidectomy (Face Lift) |
|
The same changes to the skin that affect the eyes, eyebrows, and neck appearance can also affect the face. Face-lifting is done in order to remove excess skin while tightening the underlying supporting structures (muscles and connective tissue). A skin incision is required in order to produce these results. The length of the incision depends upon the actual anatomic elements that require correction. A variety of face-lifting techniques are being used today, including endoscopic, deep plane, composite, tri-plane, SMAS. Dr. Westreich can explain these different techniques as well as their potential benefits and pitfalls. |
